This spiced chai is another recipe that I fell in love with from my Ayurveda class, we had a lovely tutor - Hansa Rama and this recipe is hers. I tend to 10 x this recipe so there is some saved for later. I also use almond milk but don't add it until it is served. 3 C Water
1 t Grated ginger 4 pods Cardamon ¼ t fennel seeds ¼ inch Cinnamon stick 3 Black peppercorns 1 pinch Nutmeg 1 clove Garlic 1 t Black tea 1 C Milk 1 t Jaggery (or omit) Grind all spices together, boil spices and ginger for a further 3 minutes. Add tea leaves and boil for a further 3 minutes. Add milk and bring to boil and turn off heat. Let the tea sit for 2-3 mins. Strain and serve. Sweeten with jaggery or rapadura.
