I am a Kiwi and live in beautiful Dunsborough, I’ve been in Australia half my life and I absolutely love it.
After growing up on the typical Kiwi kid diet in the 80's, which consisted of meat and potatoes, chocolate, icecream and an overload of Nana's baking - I left New Zealand not eating any veggies other than potato! I was one fussy kid who had to learn how to eat vegetables in my 20's!
Alleviating numerous health conditions that I carried with me for 20 years was the real lightbulb moment. I became aware of the power of food as medicine, and developed a true passion which I am looking to extend to others. I then qualified as a Clinical Nutritionist and have been practicing for 7 years.
I work in a holistic fashion, this means that we do not just focus on your nutrition, together we explore what other external and internal factors are impacting on your health. The body and mind are connected, if your mind is stressed this can express itself in physical ailments! During these times we can look at healing foods, supplements, other modalities and lifestyle tips to support you.
With this holistic approach I can assist you in health conditions, undiagnosed symptoms or the realignment of your weight.
What you’ll love about me is that I’m realistic, life is to be lived and not every factor is within our control. Being realistic about what your life looks like, I tailor your nutritional goals to suit you, rather than giving you a complicated plan that has no relevance to you. My favourite things to focus on are the simple things in life, sunshine, exercise, water, eating lots of veggies, good wholesome food and laughter. Together we find a balance for your life, understanding that we are not perfect beings. Personally I love to drink wine, eat chocolate and I’m also a total sucker for hot chips!
It’s all about changing small things at a pace that works in with your life, to give you a lifelong benefit. We do everything in moderation to create a balanced happy and healthy life.
